"..Kuwait inks tie up with UK's Great Ormond St hospital.."

Kuwait has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a leading UK children’s hospital specialising in childhood cancer and leukaemia.
The agreement with Great Ormond Street Hospital in London will see the exchange of experience, visits by medical staff, and sending Kuwaiti children with cancer to England for treatment. The assistant undersecretary for medical services Dr Qais Al-Douairi told KUNA News Agency that an in-depth study into improving medical services for children with cancer and leukaemia in Kuwait will be carried out in January. He said the British hospital will send a medical team regularly to Kuwait to provide assistance and expert advice.
The memorandum is part of a series of agreements Kuwait hopes to sign with British healthcare organisations. The first, announced last month, was with Guy's and St Thomas Charity Hospital in London.
"The aim of the visit is to sign MoUs with a number British healthcare institutions in order to set plans and development projects for hospitals in Kuwait, especially in terms of quality of services," Kuwaiti Health Minister Dr Hilal Al-Sayer told KUNA at the time.
