"...Kuwait MoH contracting foreign medical teams to run Kuwait facilities..."

KUWAIT - The Ministry of Health is set to sign contracts with teams of foreign medical experts to run medical facilities in Kuwait. The step is part of the health ministry's strategy to upgrade the quality of medical services on offer, explained MoH Undersecretary Dr. Ibrahim Al-Abdulhadi, further indicating that the ministry will make another announcement on the subject shortly.

Dr. Al-Abdulhadi also revealed that he is forming a committee which is currently preparing an emergency first aid training program that it is hoped will provide 10 percent of Kuwait's population in potentially life-saving first aid measures. The committee, comprising senior MoH officials, will devise the training program's content and decide on the personnel and medical equipment necessary to carry it out, reported Al-Rai. The ministry also plans to launch a media campaign to raise awareness of the program..
